glass painting?

Postby edna » 12 Feb 2010, 21:13

Is glass painting easy to do? Can you buy kits? I have a neighbour taking me to my local hobbycraft shop next week and I am looking at what I could buy as things to keep me occupied. I thought I would get a range of different crafts so I have a nice variety.

Hi Edna.
My OH does a bit of glass painting. It takes a lot of concentration and a very steady hand, (Or so she tells me). You can get little tiny jars of paint, I believe they are £4 to £5 ish unless she if fibbing me.

I tried it once a few years ago but it required way too much patience than I had at the time and was quite fiddly to do. My OH is hoping to have a go at making some stained glass mirrors sometime soon so no doubt he'll be posting in this section too lol!

We can now paint glasses.
Try looking for these paints on stores.
Better choose nice quality paints.
good luck.

I tried this too - and really enjoyed it! Yes it can be fiddly but if you get a kit or something that already has the outlines on it can be like a more fun version of painting by numbers!

Hope you have fun with it
