This little forum looked lonely so I thought I would put something here....

Does anyone mould fimo or do anything in the way of ceramics...what about Mosaics? I always fancied doing mosaics....those fantasic little Garden tables I've seen...

anyone????

You mean the morrocan/North African metal ones with the tile patterns inset in to the top? they are gorgeous.

we have an old sewing machine treadle base which would look great with a tile top. At the moment it has an offcut of oak worktop on it, and we use it as a plant stand, but a nice tiled top would make it far more durable in the garden.

I also thought about taking the base to be shot blasted, and then using Zebrite which they used to use to polish up ranges and things.. but I don't know if the zebrite would survive being outside.

You should make a mosaic of Sparkydog on top of the treadle base....with her little Chrimbo hat on, of course...:)

I really want to make something like this image which is a vase I bought a few weeks ago. I think it's made from coloured shattered tempered glass but there isn't any info around on the net that can tell me how to do it so it might take a few tries before I source the right materials and get it anywhere near right!
