Hi janime,

I love making jewellery too and I'm in the process of researching making soap-there's some wonderful creations out there! Have you made any yet? A big warm welcome to the forum anyhow and I look forward to chatting with you and getting to know you better!

I'm waiting for pay day and then I'll be gathering some supplies myself to make my first batch. Keep me updated on how you get on with it and I'll try to post some pics of my first batch when I get around to making it in a couple of weeks time!

i havent made soap yet but today i found awesome rubber silicone round moulds , they are realy flexible.
but what a shame thats its not as easy as in ameruca to make and sell soap. here in holland you need a soap studio , u cant just make soap in the kitchen

You don't need a soap studio here but there are lots and lots of regulations and assessments to do before your products are certified as safe so it's definitely not as easy as one might first think. Still, I guess it's all worth it all if soap is your passion and you're serious about selling it!

Speaking of moulds, I bought some great silicone ice cube trays the other day from Ikea and they've made brilliant moulds for bath melts-just the right size! I've also used them to make mini bath bombs and I may well use them for mini soaps too and make sets from them!

Ikea, so funny to read about that shop here in this UK forum :) I love Ikea , they have everything there!
I'm not serious yet about selling soap, but you'll never now, maybe it becomes a real addiction and I'm dreaming of having my own business.
today I bought the last ingredients for a simple soap recipe , palm oil and soy oil, this weekend its soapweekend :)
