The Sizzix Hot Shot Machine? Query

Postby lotus » 27 Dec 2010, 18:21

I was lucky to have a sizzix Hot Shot machine, how ever after opening it, there are a few things I do not understand as the instructions are not very clear and would be very grateful for anyones help. The sizzix comes with a board with tab 1 and tab 2 what is this board for?

This machine dosnt come with any templates and therefore I purchased one and put the arranged as follows, perspex on bottom, dye, paper on top and then put the other perspex on top and put it thru the machine. It cut but also it made an indentation of the dye onto the top perspex????Is this normal (I dont think it is) am I doing it wrong?

Also the dyes, if i say wanted to cut a sheep with a black face and a white body like it shows on the packet how do I do this?

Please help as would love to start creating and I would be interested on your views if you have one of these machines, as my Mum has one and even she is struggling on how to use it correctly.

Thank you.

Hi
1. yes it is normal for the shape to imprint on the perspex. the perspex is there to protect your cutting blade from the roller and to keep it sharp.
2. To get a balck head on white sheep you can either cut it all in white and colour the head with felt tip/crayon or you can cut one in white and one in black and then put the black head on the white sheep.

good luck with it
