Plush Folly also has a mine of information including lye calculators, training documents free to view and also correspondence courses at £25 each or thereabouts where you can learn all you need to know in one place. http://www.plushfolly.com/
I personally would recommend you read up on aromatherapy oils if using these to scent your products. Learn what oils go together and what don't, which ones have contra-indications, what notes they are etc - top notes, base notes, middle notes and what this means. Unfortunatly I don't recommend any particular site for this as there are many and not many that cover all or a wide range. I suppose a good beginners site might be http://www.aworldofaromatherapy.com/.
There are many soap and cosmetic recipes on google and many tutorials available covering all sorts of topics to do with soap making, and how to do the special effects such as marbling, whipping, curls and much much more.
I hope this helps.
