I was thinking of making the peg a magnet and obviously the calender would be for 2011
I would have to make a box for it rather than an envelope
but do you think it would make a good christmas present and card in one ???

I know my mum would find this really useful Tracey- it's not something I'd personally keep but the older generation love this type of thing (generally speaking). My mum always comments on these types of things and says Christmas cards are a waste of time- unless they have some use they just go in the bin etc. When something is handmade and has a use she loves it! A constant reminder from the daughter all year round kind of thing lol!
