Yes, I used soy container blend- on reflection I think the container was too wide in diameter for just one wick. Had I put 2 in, I think it'd have been okay. I just used some old shot glassess I had for the smaller ones I did last night and for the first couple of hours they burnt great but now the flame is tiny and they look as if they're ready to go out if you get my meaning so I'm not sure what the problem is there? Any ideas?

Hi Nickie

It still could be air cavities, did you tap the glass to even the air?

Also did you leave the candle to stand overnight before burning, I have read that candles need time to settle and harden this can cause
the wick to burn too fast.

I also read that if the wick is too small this will cause it to burn quick, priming the wick helps too.

I am going to try container ones very shortly but I am off with a bad arm at mo so I am making a few cards as this is nice and gentle :)

I must admit, I never tapped the glass- not heard of that before but will defo try it next time! I did leave the candles overnight though to harden so I'm guessing that that isn't the problem. I also left the wick extra long as I've been caught out by this before and now know that keeping them a little longer is best- they were pre waxed too so this shouldn't have caused the problem either! I'll have another go when I get back from my holiday next weekend and research a bit more before I do it to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong or doing something I shouldn't be lol! Thanks for the advice though Karen, it's much appreciated!
