personalised bookmarks

Postby sunrisecards » 03 Jul 2010, 16:49

with the end of term approaching we are having our normal rush of personalised bookmark orders
the biggest headpin I have is 3 inch which means I can get 11 beads on there but a customer wants a bookmark with 12 beads on , any ideas , can you get slightly longer headpins ??

There is a Scottish company here which does 4 inch headpins- pack of 10 for 45p (0.21 gauge) if that's any good to you? Alternatively you could use wire and loop it at the bottom and add a bead to make it look more decorative and wire wrap it which is what I do when I don't have head pins which are long enough for the purpose I want to use them for! It's a bit of a long one because I found it using Google images lol!

I don't throw anything away now even if I don't think I'll ever use it
when we first started we had some stickers that I didn't think I'd use, I got involved with a swap on another forum and sent the stickers off with some other bits and pieces , within a few weeks I'd got an order which the stickers would have been perfect for !!!

LOL, typical eh! Every now and then I'll throw a load of paperwork away as all it seems to be doing is acquiring dust- you can guarantee someone will always ask me for something I've binned a few days later. I still insist on doing it though- my desk gets covered in the stuff and I just can't go on keeping it for those 'just in case' situations- I'd be overrun with it lol! I can see it'd be different if I was in your trade though!
