I'm new and thought I'd post something to introduce myself. I have been making jewelry for several years, originally from Canada and recently relocated to the UK. I'm looking for a friendly forum community to exchange with on various subjects...

Hi and welcome to the forum! You have some lovely stuff in your gallery- particularly the multi strand necklace in the green and blue- that's really lovely! What brought you over to the UK then? I'm an ameteur jewellery make myself- nothing special though lol! I keep vowing to finish a few things I started a few months ago but never seem to get the time now!

Hi and thanks for the nice welcome! I moved to the UK because of love believe it or not :P We met a couple years ago and then decided it was simpler for me to come to him rather than the other way around. So yeah I'm new here and looking forward to meet nice people interested in jewelry making and exchange tips and infos etc

Well I'll do my best on the advice front although I have a feeling you'll be more of a mentor to me than the other way around lol! I've been doing some wire wrapping and have now thankfully got the hang of it and some of my stuff is looking quite good now- just got to get aroudn to finishing it.

Yes we met online several years ago and what started as a friendship evolved and the next thing we knew he was in Canada visiting and after a while we decided it was time for me to come here since it was more complicated for him to move overseas :)

Awwwwwww, how lovely! I've done a bit of the online dating thing myself but never as far a field as another country though! I'm happily back with my ex partner now though and the last 2 years have been great! How long have you been here then? Are you now married or have any plans to marry?

I've been here since april this year and I absolutely love it :) We are getting married this summer I'm very excited about it xD

What about you ? Do you have any plans to get married?

Hi. Good to see a new face (so to speak). I bet you feel a bit claustraphobic and damp here after Canada. Love to visit. Got distand family in Vancover, live somewhere up a mountain I think.

Hello everyone. I have mixed interests in a number of crafts hobbies. Im really into oil painting at the moment but I will have moved on yet again next week I would have thought lolo
