Oooooooo Caroline that's beautiful! I'd be well hapy if that was given to me. The americans still use patchwork quilts a lot- it's a shame that the average Brit doesn't see them in quite the same way anymore and can't appreciate the work which goes into them!!!

No, I havent started "yet" apart from thinking about ideas, and of course the emerging collection of old shirts ready for use. I dont want to start cutting or planning a pattern until I have enough of the fabrics, lest I end up having to buy stuff to fill in gaps becasue I have nothing that matches or contrasts nicely..
