Yes, hi Joel and welcome to the forum! Do you make soap and sell it or just do it as a hobby? I'm assuming you make soap of course lol?

Oh, right now I just do it for fun and to give as gifts. I don't have the time or patience to try to turn it into a business. Nickie, do you make soap to sell or for friends and family mostly?

Strikes me, someone needs to go to the packaging fairs.. either here or in the US.. and set up a UK supply base.. :)

I was looking at QVC over christmas, and they had some mixed box "sets" for gifts.. the boxes were really sturdy/durable looking.. and "silly" money - £20 for 10 and so on.. I know if you are buying 10000 of something you get much much better rates, but surely as a wholesale purchaser a lot of these manufacturers will supply a "pack" price.. ???

Given UK sourced packaging seems so expensive.. there must be a market out there for more affordable stuff..

just a thought..!
Q:"did you enjoy yourself?"
A:"I had to, there wasn't anyone else here to enjoy..."

I'd defo agree Gord...someone's missing a trick! If I could afford it, I'd be ordering in the ten of thousands- sadly though, it takes money to make money eh and why I'll always be poor lol! Seriously though, there's defo a gap in the market for that stuff here, it's nigh on ompossible to get nice packaging at reasonable cost here isn't it!
