I was knitting in my youth, but haven't done any for many a long year. Do you have any suggestion what I could knit that would get me back into it. Something small that won't affect my arthritis? I have no grandchildren so cAN'T DO baby clothes.

How about a tea cosy? Or a loo roll cover, my nan used to do a loo roll cover with a doll sticking out the top so that the cover of the toilet roll looked like the dolls skirt. A scarf is a bit obvious? Mittens for yourself or a friend. A shawl - but I think that might be a crochet project.

...or a plain old scarf- very easy and straight forward and definitely appropriate for this weather, it's freezing isn't it!

gosh it is very cold. I'd love to knit a jumper but it scares me. I don't know why I'd want a toilet roll cover. Sounds pretty vile. A scarf sounds a good idea. That would be easy I could just knit simply and use some of the wool that is in my wardrobe. Do you think I should do it in yellow or green?

I will see how I go. I'll start with yellow and see how I cope with the colour change.

I have just played the game, 10 things etc., but I forgot one. I used to knit. It was years ago and I forgot all about it. I reckon its something I could do again now Im retired.

Oh yes, do give it another go. I think you would find it therapeutic and it will help me to know someone else is trying to give it another go!

I'll have a chat with the other half. Maybe I will. Not sure yet.
