Do you mean the charity ones, Nickie? If so I think they're out again now  Not sure there's any 'trend' in that kind of thing at the moment.

I used to love friendship bracelets but never actually figured out how to make them. Hmm, might try again when I get some spare time :D

Yes, I think that's how they all got started- in the charity circles. I know my son uses them to advertise his business and they all wear them as 'standard uniform' lol, not sure about the rest of the world though lol!

isnt it kumihimo (sp?) that is in at the minute, the ones you make on the big round foam things?

I did the whole embroidery thread/knotted ones a few years back, but never did get into the scoubidous!

I can remember the charity rubber ones were such a big thing that you could hardly get them anywhere. I found some in a shop in Birmingham and tookt hem back to Sheffield for my friend's kids who instead of actually wearing them decided to sell them for about three times the price I'd paid

Haven't seen the kumihimo one's though. Will look out for them in school.

Ha, my son's girlfriend taught me how to make scoubies a few years ago, God, what a nightmare they were to make lol!

Yes, my son orders his rubber bands from America I think as they're much cheaper and also sells them as well as T-shirts to his fans. Every now and then he'll change colours and have the T-shirts done in the co-ordinating colour as a latest kit kind of thing. It's orange now- was red before that and blue before that etc. It keeps everyone buying them as they want the latest gear etc and he's come to some great arrangements with suppliers over costs too.

Nickie, did I read somewhere that he markets his own clothing brand?? - does that mean he has his own designs manufactured too?
Q:"did you enjoy yourself?"
A:"I had to, there wasn't anyone else here to enjoy..."
