PM problem

Postby houseofsalvage » 07 Dec 2009, 18:34

I've just been having a play about to see what I can do on here lol and having a bit of trouble with PMs. When I click on the "compose message" option nothing happens. Does something pop-up in a different window? My pop-up blocker tends to get a bit too enthusiastic and pretty much stops anything.

Anyone else having trouble?

Hi Tasha, did you read the forum announcement? There's a few us having problems at the moment but these should be rectified in a few hours and is the result of system maintenance. Apologies for the inconvenience but the maintenance is essential to the furture smooth running of the forum. Please keep trying, things will be back to normal very soon.

Many thanks

Nickie

Also I think you need 15 messages before you can use the PM links or your message centre, unless this has changed, sure Nickie can confirm this though.

Also I think you need 15 posts before you can see / use the pm button as well as your message centre, unless this has changed, though sure Nickie can confirm this.

Yes, sorry Tasha, this might be another reason why you aren't seeing anything happen when you try to access it. We have to do this to reduce spam via PM's as most spammers won't be bothered to make the 15 posts needed in order to spam members in this way. I see you already have 13 posts though so you're not too far away from the required 15. Hope this helps and thanks Shane!!!

Yes, it's a bit different from VB isn't it and takes a bit of time to get used to but you'll be an expert in no time I'm sure!

Yeah, I'm on loads of forums so it shouldn't take long. Mostly it's just trying to find things. It's kind of like trying to make a cup of tea in someone elses kitchen
