I don't mind your comments / feedback at all.

As for the out of stock Items I have around 85, and the only way to hide them is to go through them one by one and and disable them, so will do that tomorrow, too bigger job for tonight.

As for the Images and text, although I do get your point, It's something I am trying to replace my current range with, been busy trying to find companies that I can use on a dropship basis until I can start holding more stock myself. though this is pretty difficoult as I don't like selling mass produced stuff and want to really concerntrate on handmade soaps.

Plus the Imges I currently have can't be inlarged enough to replace the ones I have. so in a bit of a dilema at the moment.

I am just currently trying to source more unique stock aposed to what is already available.

I will consider your advice though, so don't think I'm ignoring you.[/quote]

I won't think you're ignoring me :)

That's a pain about the images - do you download them from your dropshipper? or do you insert the URL into the page? If you have the images and you need someone to pop them into photoshop and tweak them a bit, just let me know...happy to help :)

Well done on the sale ...whoop whoop!!!

Well done on your sale!

I had a peek at your website and if you don't mind me saying, I thought the bit about, "you can tell it is handmade because you can see the knife marks" was rather off putting.

I doubt whether any handmade soaper cuts their soaps with a knife - can you imagine cutting a 50 kilo block of soap like that?

We cut by hand but not with a knife, though if we did you wouldn't see any knife marks.

Hope you don't mind.

Maybe its a special soap made to appeal to the likes of the Yorkshire ripper etc..

I wonder is it feasible??

the mini bath pearls.. red ones filled with red (non staining) bath oils.. set in a red glycerine soap.. so it "bleeds" as you use it??

I WANT ONE!! :D :D :D

If anyone really wants to know Sparkysdad's experience of DM campaigns, Im happy to oblige by the way.

I'd love to know more! (and v. open to changing the way we do things).

I've always been super sceptical of DM for its perceived scatter-gun approach which, I'm told (because I've never tried it) doesn't lend itself to good quality marketing f/b?

I guess there's the ethical side to consider (if you get .5% response with a leaflet drop, it means you need to have '000s printed)?

Great advice btw - it's easy to dismiss potentially effective ideas through pre-conceived prejudice or a unwillingness to re-tread old ground...

I am happy to oblige.. would you like to know "why" or "how"? - or what I did as an example?? :) (or any combination of the three?)

do any of you pur your things on craft juice. It's a sort of display thing where people vote for your thing you have made. They have some very funny things on there.

Well I finally managed to find a mod that will hide all out of stock products, (so none showing now) :) However it was a nightmare to install as I had to modify 7 pages of code for it Grrr.

Also replaced the text about soap bumps and cutting soap with a knife so thats all done as well.

All I need to do now is get someone to design me a banner for the right hand side of page as it's looking a bit bare, though may get too banners done depending how much it costs, but that'll have to wait till next month now I think.

Anyway thanks for the feedback, also Images will have to stay as they are for the time being untill I can find something to replace them with... but I will look into it after the weekend.

Thanks again.
