Hey all new guy here and in need of some inspiration.

I'm a bit of a serial hobbiest and get bored far too easily but always seem to come back to the need to create something.

Now, unfortunately I live in a flat so masses of room is something I can only dream of, just wondered if anyone had any suggestions on a new hobby for me :) ideally pretty cheap but something i can do from the confort of my own lounge. Quite happy to give anything a go and with the new opening of a hobbyworld on my doorstep, materials are pretty easy to come by too.

but yes help a board guy find a new past-time I NEED TO MAKE SOMETHING!!!! going a little insane with the boredom lately and need to see the fruit of my efforts rather than the TV getting the better of my evenings.

cheers all

Hi and welcome

What have you already tried? as the list of suggestions could be endless.
Counted cross stitch is a good one if you don't have alot of space.
Knitting is getting very popular again.
Everyone whose anyone makes cards.
I haven't tried it yet but scrapbooking is very popular.

How about a bit of whittling. Not wanting to be sexist but it sounds more of a mans hobby than some of the others suggested and you can do it with a tray on your knee. Quite theraputic too.

There are probably lots of things you could make for your flat. Like rag rugs, or curtains, or nearer next Christmas you could get a lot of new Christmas decorations. I did see a nice book on pyrography. Something to do with burning wood with style. I don't know how in front of the TV that is though. I don't have enough ability to do much with style so I won't be trying that one.
