Getting cracking

Postby bodrighy » 03 Feb 2010, 15:40

Not too sure if this is the right thread but here goes.

Prompted by several of the threads re motivation etc and the interest in some of my work I am starting to pull my finger out (probably hear the plop noise in Scotland I've had it shoved so far in wherever it was  )

I am going through all the work I have done and have in boxes and getting it up onto Misi and Folksy so if anyone has the time or inclination to have a browse and can let me know if they think my prices are OK etc I'd be grateful. Obviously not everything I do is to everyone's taste but any comments or critique would be welcome

You have been busy, well done.

I do like your work, have you booked any events yet?

If you mean craft fairs etc no as they are few and far between in Cornwall and very expensive and until I start generating some dent income I can't afford them. There's one in Falmouth, a sort of street market that I may be able to do on Saturdays as that is a lot cheaper. Also it's a case of finding what will sell as the more decorative expensive work doesn't for sure except at Christmas. At the moment I am dependent on on line sales and word of mouth which is why I really need to get cracking plugging the on line stores and smiling sweetly at everyone :smile2:

Well done! A great start. You might find the street market a good one to do as there is a german Christmas market (called international market in the summer time) that comes to liverpool and there is a stall with turned and carved wood items there that always has a lot of interest.
I hope your new found energy proves fruitful for you and well done for managing to extract the finger lol.
