just joined so thought I'd say hi and introduce myself
I've been making handmade cards for three years now, it started off as a small hobby as the children were starting to get more independant and I was feeling redundant , they soon took on a life of their own ( the cards not the children lol ) and hubby joined in and loved making them too.
We now have many customers and have orders coming in most days.
we've had to change our spare room into a craft room, I now work at hobbycraft after working with small children for nearly 20 years so our life has changed somewhat but we're loving it !!

You have done well I think Handmade cards are so much nicer

I dropped an order off today to a new customer ( old friend who I've recently got back in touch with - the joys of facebook !! )
and she loved the fact that she could give the card to her friend knowing that she definately wouldn't get two of the same one

First of all, a big warm welcome to the forum from all of us! How fab that crafts have taken over full time for you- that's my main aim! You need 15 posts to have a signature sunrise but if you PM me with the details I'll do it for you- it's just a preventitive measure to deter the spammers (not that it works too well lol) and our technical wizard AKA Shaun isn't about today- he's not long had a baby (well not him, his wife lol)!

I've got a facebook page for crafters
am I allowed to post a link ??
basically its a place where crafters and non crafters can all meet - the idea is the crafter joins up to advertise what they do and then they invite their friends to join - the more the merrier
lots of people like handmade cards and gifts now and I thought where better to advertise than facebook and also with people we know and trust.
I will put a link to this site on there now as well

How strange!! I've just sent you a PM sunrise telling you that your signature is showing and it is when you send a PM but it's not showing on the board...let me see if I can do it without messing things up behind the scenes and giving Shaun a major headache tomorrow lol!
