Create an Inexpensive Photography Lightbox

Postby suebennett » 19 Mar 2010, 02:55

Has anybody else had problems getting good photographs of their crafts? A friend suggested that I buy a lightbox. Not wanting to spend that sort of money I 'Googled' and found some instructions on how to make one with a cardboard box. I used some white fabric that I already had (and yes, I confess to being a fabric hoarder) and a cardboard box which should have been used for packing because I'm moving house this weekend - you have to get your priorities right LOL. I have been amazed with the pictures, taken on a Panasonic Lumix, with the box lit with my sewing room lamp and it cost me next to nothing.

If you have a white bath, why not take photos in that?

Take the water out first though:)

Brilliant idea but I am just moving house and both the new bathrooms have those contoured jacuzzi baths and both are an oatmeal colour (yuk), be hard pressed to get a good shot without getting a water jet in the picture LOL. Your pictures on your web site look excellent - were they taken in the bath?
