Depends on whethher you are talking about first on the forum or skill level. No doubt you are 1st woody in skill level. Welcome to the forum. Very new so a bit quiet at the moment but I reckon it'll pick up.

Nope! Got a invite just before Nickie got banned on the CF forum. Liked the novelty of joining a forum in its infancy, just about all I can cope with.

PS - Thank you kind sir for the skill level quote, but don't forget I've seen you from just after your early days. You ain't doing bad you've come on by leaps and bounds, and a lot better than some others I've seen.

PPS - Better stop patting each other on the back in case the rest think something is going on. (You know what they say about ex sailors.) :lol: :lol:

You to carry ... nowt wrong with ex sailors . Perhaps I should take up a bit of wood turning. vactually it wood probably frighten the crap out of me spinning round at warp factor 5 with a something sharp in your hand.

S'easy Carl, like any skill it all comes with practice. Although in the early days I did send a piece of timber through a window in front of the lathe. :oops: Pain in the b**t when you have to stop everything to go and buy a piece of glass. Don't do it any more though. ;) (He says tongue in cheek.)

I've not sent any through the window yet but I do have a scar on my eyebrow to remind me to always wear my face mask. I always seem to have short finger nails as well :lol:
